Programme details

KTN Global Alliance Africa project is a six-year project funded by UK Aid through Innovate UK (GCRF) and FCDO.

It is designed to strengthen and scale local innovation and business environments in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.

We saw the overview of the business support element of the KTN Global Alliance Africa programme. This provide both group and 121 support for participating companies.

Participating companies undertook pilot opportunities with the likes of

  • Unilever : Focused on helping the company decarbonise its supply chain
  • Hinckley Nigeria : Reducing the amount of industrial batteries discarded each year through the provision of a circular economy models for battery production
  • Flamingo Horticulture Kenya : Tackling the issue of the false-coddling moth whose larvae result in the loss of hundreds of tons of agricultural each year
